I'm going to start a brag doc for myself. I usually try to do a bulleted list of what I've accomplished each day so that I can pass the energy from the fuel of my wins into the planning for the next day.
I've been wanting to do an annual review for sometime and thinking in terms of impact might help me process and correct as I'm going, and get even clearer on approaches to my goals/bets.
You should for sure start a brag doc for yourself! What you describe still needs to be done daily. The brag doc is an aggregated, filtered version of those daily wins.
You are doing God's work helping these engineers get promoted, kudos to you my friend for taking the time to help these folks.
These sorts of things have a tendency to not just help the mentee, but to strengthen the mentor as well. I hope it all comes back to you in good karma.
